As the 2025 NFL Combine approaches, fans and scouts are turning their attention to promising NFL prospects. Two names generating buzz in scouting circles are Jack Bech, a versatile receiver from TCU, and Omarion Hampton, a dynamic running back from North Carolina. Both players have shown exceptional talent during their college careers, raising expectations for their transition to the professional level.
Draft Nation takes a deeper dive into two rising prospects to watch during this weekend’s NFL
Combine in Indianapolis:
Jack Bech: Versatility and Skill
Jack Bech has made a name for himself as a versatile weapon in the TCU offense. Measuring in at 6' 1" and 195 pounds, Bech possesses both size and agility that can be a nightmare for defenders. Having played mostly as a slot receiver, he has also logged time outside, creating mismatches against both cornerbacks and linebackers.
During his tenure at TCU and LSU before that, Bech showcased impressive playmaking ability. He has a knack for finding soft spots in zone coverage and excels in contested catch situations. His strong hands and body control allow him to make acrobatic catches, while his ability to run after the catch makes him a potent threat. He possesses a high football IQ and is already masterful in his route running and mechanics. Bech adds value as a return specialist too, providing teams with additional versatility.
The big question to be answered this weekend is his straight-line speed. If Bech runs a sub 4.5 40-yard dash, Draft Nation would not be surprised to see him sneak into the back end of the first round. In round two, he will be a steal.
Omarion Hampton: Power and Speed
With Boise State’s heralded Ashton Jeanty headlining this year’s running back draft class, it’s not hard to see why some have overlooked Omarion Hampton. Hampton is known for his rare combination of power running style and speed, and at 6' 0" and 225 pounds, he may be the draft’s best dual-threat player.
Hampton's ability to break tackles and gain yards after contact sets him apart from many of his peers. Combined with great contact balance and vision, he’s shown an uncanny ability to navigate through traffic and find running lanes effectively. Hampton is more than capable of being a threat to catch passes out of the backfield, showcasing his ability as a three-down back, which is increasingly valuable in today’s NFL.
During his time at North Carolina, Hampton has compiled impressive statistics, and coaches have lauded his work ethic and dedication, traits that are essential for success at the next level. If it were not for Jeanty, Hampton could easily make the case to be the first back off the board this April.
Outlook for the Draft:
Before this week’s NFL Combine, both Jack Bech and Omarion Hampton are expected to go in the second round of this year’s prospect pool. If both show well during the Combine, there may be some whispers for both to creep into the back end of the first round.
Draft Nation will be keeping a close eye on these two players over the weekend and encourage our community to do the same.
