Jordan Jefferson was a standout defensive lineman at Navarre High School in Florida. He played in 13 games as a senior and finished with 60 tackles, including 42 solo stops, 5 sacks and 22 tackles for loss. His performance helped Navarre to an 11-2 record and a trip to the championship game. He was named the 2018 Pensacola News Journal All-Area First Team Defensive Line. The 3-star prospect committed to West Virginia University to play football for the Mountaineers.
During his true freshman year, Jefferson played in 11 games with 1 start. He was mostly used on special teams and only finished with 5 tackles and 1 pass breakup. During the Covid-19 shortened season of 2020, he played in 6 games, mostly on special teams again.
Jefferson had a big camp in 2021 and worked himself into steady playing time on the West Virginia defensive line. He appeared in 13 games with 4 starts, recording 17 tackles and 0.5 sacks. 2022 was his breakout season for the Mountaineers. He started all 12 games at nose tackle and collected 31 tackles. He also was able to be a disruption up the middle for West Virginia and recorded his first 3 sacks of his career. After the season, Jefferson decided to enter the transfer portal and he eventually committed to play football at LSU.
He set a career high in tackles during his only season at LSU with 36. He also tallied 2.5 sacks in his 13 starts and solidified himself as a legit draft prospect. He announced he was entering the NFL Draft in December.
