Tre Harris played high school football at Ovey Comeaux High School in Louisiana. He played both basketball and was the quarterback for the football team. 247Sports rated him as a two-star prospect and the No. 99 prospect in Louisiana. Though he was a quarterback, he committed to Louisiana Tech as a wide receiver.
As a true freshman in 2020, Harris played in seven games, though mostly on special teams and finished the season with only one catch for 20 yards.
In 2021, Harris saw his playing time increase and played in 12 games, starting nine at wide receiver. He took advantage of the increased playing time and hauled in 40 passes for 572 yards and four touchdowns. Last season, Harris became a bona fide superstar for the Bulldogs. He started all 12 games and was the main target all season long, catching 65 passes for 935 yards and ten touchdowns. He entered the transfer portal at the end of the season and eventually selected Ole Miss as his next stop in this career.
In 2023, Harris started 11 games and averaged 18.2 yards per catch, with his 985 yards on 54 receptions. He also scored eight touchdowns. Harris has also announced that he will be returning to Ole Miss for the 2024 season.
