Baylor Scheierman attended Aurora High School in Nebraska and played basketball, football, baseball, and golf. Scheierman averaged 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists per game as a junior. As a senior, Scheierman threw for 3,942 yards and a state-record 59 touchdowns. On the court, he averaged 22.1 points, 9.8 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. He committed to playing basketball for South Dakota State, stating he liked the family atmosphere.
As a freshman, Scheierman averaged 6.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, shooting 42.7 percent from the floor. His sophomore season he became a starter and a prolific scorer. He averaged 15.4 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game. He was named to the First Team All-Summit League.
Scheierman was named Summit League Player of the Year as a junior. He averged 16.2 points per game and led the conference in rebounding with 7.8 per contest. After the season, he entered both the transfer portal and the NBA draft. He later committed to Creighton and withdrew from the NBA draft.
In his first season with Creighton, he started all 37 games and averaged 12.8 points and 8.3 rebounds per game. After the 2022-2023 season, he announced to return for his 5th season of eligibility.
This past season, Scheierman was named First Team All-Big East after averaging 18.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per contest.
