Cole Reschny was born in Macklin, Saskatchewan, Canada and in 2021-2022, put up elite numbers for the Northern Alberta U15 prep team, scoring 40 goals and 52 assists in only 25 games. The youngster split time between the Saskatoon Blazers (U18 AAA) and the Victoria Royals (WHL) in the 2022-2023 season and in 34 games tallied 23 goals and 42 assists while adding one goal in four games for Victoria.
The 2023-2024 season was a big step forward for Reschny's draft stock. He played in 61 games for the Royals and scored 21 goals and 38 assists. He also had a productive run in the WHC-17 tournament for the Canada Red U17, registering three goals and five assists in seven games.
