Taylor-Demerson attended Carl Albert High School in Oklahoma City. He was mainly a running back in high school, but transitioned to a DB for the next level. He ended his high school career with 3-star ratings from ESPN and 247 Sports, choosing Texas Tech over offers from Utah State and Air Force.
As a freshman, Dadrion played in 11 games both in the secondary and on special teams, making 16 tackles and 1 TFL on the year.
Dadrion only played one game in 2020 recording no stats, but played in 12 games in 2021 making 62 tackles, 3 interceptions, and 13 pass breakups.
His final two seasons with Texas Tech were extremely similar as he played 13 games each year and recorded 73 tackles in each season. In that span, he had 7 TFL, 2 sacks, and 7 interceptions.
