Dillon Jones attended Keenan High School and averaged 12.3 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game as a junior. He transferred to Sunrise Christian Academy in Bel Aire, Kansas before the start of his senior year. He helped Sunrise go 22-3 and was rated the #37 small forward in the country by Rivals. He committed to Weber State during his senior year.
Jones played in all 23 games as a freshman and averaged 8.2 points per game, on his way to being named the Big Sky Conference Freshman of the Year. As a sophomore, he was named first team All-Big Sky after averaging 12.6 points and a conference-high 10.6 rebounds per game.
In 2022-2023, Jones continued to improve on his numbers. He averaged 16.7 points and 10.9 rebounds per game. His 10.9 rebounds were good for fifth overall in the nation. After the season he entered the NBA Draft, but later decided to return to Weber State.
Everything came together for Jones this past season. He was named pre-season MVP and then the Big Sky MVP. He averaged 20.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and a career high 5.2 assists per game. He finished 5th in the Julius Erving Award voting for the nation's top small forward.
