Jared Wilson attended West Forsyth High School in Clemmons, North Carolina, where he played guard and was rated a four-star recruit. ESPN ranked Wilson as the #8 offensive linemam prospect and the #13 overall prospect in North Carolina. Wilson originally committed to play football at the University of North Carolina before switching to the University of Georgia.
As a true freshman in 2021, Wilson saw reserve action in one game against Charleston Southern and was able to take a red shirt for the season. In his second season in Athens, Wilson got playing time in seven out of 15 games, once again as a reserve guard for the Bulldogs. In 2023, Wilson played in 13 of 14 games on the offensive line, splitting reserve time between guard and center.
Wilson entered 2024 as Georgia's starting center, replacing the recently departed Sedrick Van Pran-Grainger.
