Luther Burden III

Burden attended East St.Louis High School in St.Louis, Missouri. He played both basketball and football and was ranked by ESPN as the top offensive recruit in the class of 2022. 247Sports and Rivals.com ranked him within the top-five nationally. Burden received 41 total college scholarship offers, eventually narrowing his final options to Alabama, Georgia, and Missouri. In October 2021, he committed to Missouri, becoming only the fourth consensus five-star recruit signed by Missouri in the past 20 years. As a freshman in 2022, Burden caught 45 passes for 375 yards and eight touchdowns and returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown during the season. In 2023 as a sophomore, Burden broke out and became a name that scouts paid attention to. He finished the season hauling in 86 passes for 1,212 yards and nine touchdowns. Entering 2024, Burden is on the short list of receivers who can be selected in the first round. Burden started 12 games and hauled in 61 passes for 676 yards and six touchdowns. After the season, Burden III declared for the NFL Draft.
