The Pittsburgh Pirates have announced that the No. 1 overall pick in the 2023 MLB Draft in on his way to the majors.
Right handed starting pitcher Paul Skenes will make his highly anticipated MLB debut this Saturday against the Chicago Cubs.
Skenes has been dominating AAA hitters all season long. He has a 0.99 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 27.1 innings pitched. This will be the most highly anticipated MLB debut since 2010, when Stephen Strasburg struck out 14 Pirates hitters while pitching for the Washington Nationals.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed another former Atlanta Falcons player who played under new offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Following Cordarrelle Patterson, MyCole Pruitt and Van Jefferson, the Steelers have now agreed on a one-year deal with wide receiver Scotty Miller.
Miller, 26, played his first 4 seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, before playing last season in Atlanta.
Miller has played 67 games in his career and has hauled in 85 passes for 1,085 yards and 6 touchdowns.
The 5'9" Miller could possibly battle Calvin Austin for a slot receiver position in 2024.

The National Hockey League has announced the three finalists for the 2024 Ted Lindsay Award given to the most outstanding player in the NHL as voted on by the players.
The finalists are Nikita Kucherov of the Tampa Bay Lightning, Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche, and Auston Matthews of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Connor McDavid of the Edmonton Oilers won the award in 2023.
Here is a look at what the finalists did in 2024:
Nikita Kucherov- 44 goals and 100 assists...led the NHL in scoring with 144 points
Nathan MacKinnon- 51 goals and 89 assists...140 points---all career highs
Auston Matthews- 69 goals and 38 assists.. a career high 107 points

Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has been fined $100K for throwing multiple objects in the direction of a game official during Game 2 of their playoff series against the Timberwolves, the league announced in a press release. However, Murray was not suspended.
Murray threw a towel toward the court during the second quarter of the Nugget's 106-80 loss on Monday. Murray also threw a heat pack onto the court during live play.
The incident, which Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch referred to afterwards as "dangerous" and "inexcusable" wasn't seen by the referees at the time it happened.
