Thrash attended Troup County High School in LaGrange, Georgia. In Thrash’s high school career, he hauled in 134 receptions for 2,839 yards and 31 touchdowns. He was a 3-star prospect by 247Sports and committed to play football at Georgia State.
Thrash gained experience by playing in 3 games during his redshirt season at Georgia State and caught 2 passes for 17 yards. In his redshirt freshman year he was a backup receiver who played in 9 games and hauled in 9 passes for 161 yards and 2 touchdowns for the Panthers.
In 2021, Thrash as a redshirt sophomore, led Georgia State in receptions and yards, with 32 and 452. Last season, he became a draft prospect with his performance for the Panthers. He started 12 games and was dominating all season, with 61 catches and 1,122 yards and 7 touchdowns. He was an honorable mention All-American by Phil Steele and was 13th in all of college football in receiving yards. He took his strong performance and parlayed it by entering the transfer portal and deciding to continue playing football for Louisville to face stronger competition and help his draft stock.
This season, Thrash hauled in 63 receptions for 858 yards and 6 touchdowns as Louisville's number 1 receiver. He also had a rushing touchdown.
