Ayedze attended Northwest High School in Maryland where he lettered in football and track and field. He chose to join Frostburg State following his high school career.
He appeared in 11 games as a freshman, helping one of the best rushing attacks in the conference.
His next three seasons at Frostburg were all very impressive as he played 33 games and was named as an All-MEC First Team selection for three seasons in a row. He then transferred to Maryland for his fifth year.
In 2023 with Maryland, Ayedze played in 11 games for the Terps at right tackle, starting the final 10 games of the season. He was the sixth-highest rated pass blocking tackle in the Big Ten with a 76.5 grade via Pro Football Focus.
