2023 Record- (6-11)
In 2023, the Giants failed to improve on their 9-7-1 record from 2022 and had one of the worst offensive lines in NFL history. The offensive line gave up 85 sacks in 17 games, which is only 2nd to the 104 given up by the 1986 Philadelphia Eagles. Starting quarterback Daniel Jones tore his ACL in week 9 and was lost for the season so backups Tyrod Taylor and Tommy DeVito each started games down the stretch, but the offense never found its footing. Running back Saquon Barkley led the team in rushing but with poor line play and limited options, he was held in check most of the year.
The Giants' defense struggled just as bad as the offense in 2023, finishing 27th overall. The G-men are a team in flux heading into the 2024 season and will need to make several changes to compete in the NFC East.

The Giants are set to lose pro-bowler Saquon Barkley to free agency as he is expecting a big payday in the open market. career backup Matt Breida is also a free agent which leaves 2nd year running back Eric Gray as the "next man up." They will need to address this position in the draft and or free agency.
More importantly, New York will look to rebuild their porous offensive line and allow guard Ben Bredeson to walk. The Giants may also let Shane Lemieux, Justin Pugh, Tyre Phillips and Matt Peart explore free agency as well as they look to rebuild the line from scratch.
On defense, cornerback Adoree Jackson and safety Xavier McKinney are set to leave. The Giants may want to try and resign at least one of those two players as they are the right age to be a part of the rebuilding process.

The Giants signed Daniel Jones to a 4 year contract worth 160 million that they can get out of after the 2024 season for a $22 million dollar cap hit. With the #6 overall pick, they could select a quarterback. However, Draft Nation thinks that an offensive lineman or a wide receiver are also viable options. There are many mock drafts that show the Giants moving up to #3 to choose a quarterback and others that show them staying put. All are viable options for them.
At wide out, the Giants need a #1 receiver to help out Daniel Jones and may look to trade down from the #6 spot to add some draft picks. The safe bet is that New York will stay at #6 and select one of the top tackles in the draft. The team has many holes but none bigger than their offensive line.
