His real name is Mar’Keise Irving and he went to Hillcrest High School in Country Club Hills, Illinois where he was a consensus four-star recruit. He ran for 3,264 yards in his three year career, and did not play in his senior season due to Covid. He committed to play football at Minnesota during his senior year.
As a freshman at the University of Minnesota, he ran the ball well, finishing 2nd on the team in rushing yards with 699 yards and 4 touchdowns. He led the team in all-purpose yards with 966 yards when you add in his receiving and kick return yardage. After the season he entered the transfer portal and transferred to Oregon.
Last season, Irving cemented himself as one of the top runners in the Pac-12. He started 12 out of the 13 games and finished the season running for 1,058 yards and 5 touchdowns and also added 31 receptions for 299 yards and 3 more touchdowns.
Irving had a huge 2023 season for the 11-2 Oregon Ducks. He was an every down back who ran the ball for 1,180 yards. As a pass catcher is where he excelled, hauling in 56 passes and being a player who can line up anywhere on the line of scrimmage.
