Aeneas Peebles

Aeneas Peebles attended Knightdale High School in North Carolina, where he played on the defensive line for the football team. Over his junior and senior years in high school, he had a combined 195 tackles and 27 sacks. He senior season in 2019, he was the Northern Athletic 4A Defensive Player of the Year. He big man also lettered two years in baseball for Knightdale. The three-star defensive tackle committed to Duke University during his senior year of high school.
As a true freshman at Duke, Peebles played in 10 games and totaled three tackles, playing in a reserve role. His playing time improved during his sophomore season and he saw action in all 12 games with two starts, collecting 26 tackles, three tackles for a loss and two sacks. In 2022, Peebles was part of a rotation on the Duke defensive line and did not start any games, but played in all 13. He finished the season with 15 tackles, two tackles for a loss, 1.5 sacks, six quarterback hurries and one forced fumble. Peebles was choses to the 2023 All-ACC third team after playing in 12 games with one start. He finished the season with 40 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss and four sacks.
After the 2023 season, Peebles entered the transfer portal and decided to transfer to Virginia Tech. At Virginia Tech, he started all 12 games and collected 31 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and three sacks. At the end of the season the fifth-year senior announced he is declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft.
