Benjamin Morrison was born in Leesburg, Virginia and attended high school at Brophy College Prepatory in Phoenix, Arizona. During his senior season, he collected 53 tackles and two interceptions. He was selected to play in the 2022 Polynesian Bowl after his senior season. Morrison was a consensus four-star recruit and committed to the University of Notre Dame.
Morrison stepped right in as a freshman and earned playing time during his first season. On November 19, he had three interceptions against Boston College, tying the NCAA single-game record. He finished the 2022 campaign with 33 tackles (22 of them solo), four pass breakups, six interceptions, and a pick-six. He was named Freshman All-American by College Football News and Pro Football Focus. He was also named True Freshman All-American by The Athletic, 247Sports, ESPN, and by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA).
Entering the 2023 season, Morrison was named a preseason All-American by NBCSports, FWAA, and ESPN. Morrison started 11 games in his sophomore season and finished with 31 tackles. 3 interceptions, and 10 passes defended. Morrison was named a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award.
Morrison had his 2024 season cut short after six games. He suffered a hip injury that required surgery, and he will miss the remainder of the season.
