Jordan attended Jackson Academy in Mississippi. In 34 games played as a senior, Jordan recorded a .524 batting average along with 55 hits, 55 runs, 57 RBIs, 16 home runs and drew 28 walks, setting all kinds of records for Jackson Academy's program, and leading him to the top 100 prospects list for Perfect Game where he was the 69th overall prospect and the 17th best outfielder. He chose to join Mississippi State following his astounding high school career.
As a freshman, Jordan burst onto the college baseball scene, slashing .307/.397/.575 (average, on base %, slugging). He played in 44 games, making 41 starts mostly in left field. He hit 10 home runs and 9 doubles, and drove in 40 RBI. He earned an SEC All-Freshman Team selection.
This year is Jordan's sophomore year with Mississippi State. He is expected to play even better this year, growing his slugging numbers as he grows into his frame.
