Davison Igbinosun grew up in Union Township, New Jersey and attended Union High School. In his high school career he was a dual-threat player, rushing for 894 yards and 11 touchdowns on 75 carries, and hauled in 25 passes for 492 yards and three touchdowns. However, he was even better on defense, tallying 211 tackles, six going for a loss, seven interceptions, 19 pass deflections, two fumble recoveries. one forced fumble, and a blocked field goal.
The four-star recruit committed to play football at Ole Miss over other schools such as Notre Dame, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Indiana, Virginia, Wake Forest, Duke, and Pitt. His brother Desmond plays college football for Rutgers.
As a freshman, Igbinosun played in 13 games, starting in 10, and collecting 37 tackles and five pass deflections. For his performance on the year he was named a Freshman All-American by College Football News.
After the season he decided to enter the trasfer portal and ultimately decided to transfer to Ohio State.
He stepped in at Ohio State and started all 13 games in 2023. He ranked third on the team in tackles with 59 and also had five pass break ups and two fumble recoveries. He was named Honorable mention all-Big Ten Conference.
