Harrison Ingram attended St. Mark's School of Texas in Dallas. As a junior, he averaged 19.5 points, 10.9 rebounds and 7 assists per game, leading his team to a Southwest Preparatory Conference title. However, as a senior, Ingram only played seven games because the season was paused several times due to Covid-19. He averaged 22 points, 13 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game. After the limited season, he was named a McDonald's All-American. Ingram, a consensus five-star recruit, had several scholarship offers from Division 1 programs and eventually decided to commit to Stanford.
Ingram had a strong freshman season for the Cardinals. He averaged 10.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists. He started 30 out of 32 games and was named PAC-12 Freshman of the Year. He declared for the 2022 NBA Draft while maintaining his college eligibility and decided to take his name out of the draft and return for his sophomore season.
Ingram's sophomore year went well, affirming his decision to return to school. He started 32 games and once again averaged 10.5 points per game. Following the season, he entered the transfer portal and eventually decided to transfer to North Carolina over Kansas.
At North Carolina, Ingram was a big part of a Tar Heels offense. He set a career high averaging 12.2 points per game and 8.8 rebounds. After the season, Ingram decided to declare for the 2024 NBA Draft.
