Caglianone attended Plant High School in Florida. He was a four year letter winner and one of the best players in the state during his high school career. He was a two time All-State and three time All-Area honoree, and chose to join the Gators.
As a freshman, Jac played in 28 games at DH, batting .288 with 7 home runs and 27 RBI. He was named to the 2022 SEC All-Tournament Team and NCAA Gainesville Regional All-Tournament Team.
Last season as a sophomore, he hit .323 and slugged .738, setting a school BBCOR era record with 33 home runs. He knocked in 90 RBI and got his first college action on the mound, posting a 4.34 ERA in 74.2 innings over 18 starts.
This season is Caglianone's junior year with Florida, and he is off to as hot of a start as anyone in the country. He currently holds a 1.65 ERA in 27.1 innings on the mound, and is batting just over .400, on pace to match his home run total from last season.
