Jordan Hancock attended North Gwinnett high school in Suwanee, Georgia where he played football and basketball. During his junior season, Hancock recorded two interceptions and 12 passes defended. He was named first-team all-region and all-Gwinnett County Player in 2019. Hancock was rated as a four-star cornerback and originally committed to Clemson. However, Hancock flipped his commitment to play for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
As a freshman in 2021, he appeared in three games where he notched two tackles and a pass deflection in a limited role. Hancock missed the first six games of the 2022 season with a leg injury and made his first collegiate start in week ten against Indiana, finishing the season with five tackles.
Hancock saw a lot more playing time in 2023, playing in 13 games and starting seven. He recorded 41 tackles, two sacks, two interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
