Konsta Helenius was born in Ylöjärvi, Finland and played for Tappara in the FIN U20 league as a 16-year-old. He scored 9 goals and 20 assists in 19 games and was then loaned to Mikkelin Jukurit of the Liiga League and added 3 goals and 8 assists in 33 games.
Playing in his second season in the Liiga, Helenius scored 14 goals and 22 assists in 51 games. On February 7th 2024, he became the 2nd youngest Liiga player to record a hat trick, after Tuomo Ruutu, and 5th to do so before the age of 18.
