Miller Moss attended Bishop Alemany High School in Mission Hills, Los Angeles. In high school, Moss continually got better from season to sesaon. In his senior year, he made the 2020 PrepStar Dream Team and the Southern California News Group Fab 15 first team. Moss was a four-star recruit who committed to playing close to home at USC.
Moss played in two games during his freshman season and completed 8-of-13 passes for 74 yards with a 16-yard touchdown against California. He wound up redshirting for the season.
In 2022, Moss saw action in five games as the backup to Caleb Williams. He went 12-of-14 for 159 yars and one touchdown.
In 2023, Moss played in four games as a backup and then made his first start in the 2023 Holiday Bowl when Caleb Williams sat out. In the bowl game he led the Trojans to a 42-28 win and was named offensive MVP after throwing a Holiday Bowl- record six touchdowns.
Moss is set to become the starting Trojans quarterback in 2024. Moss started nine games for the Trojans before being replaced by Jayden Maiava. In those nine games, Moss threw for 2,555 yards with 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
After the season, Moss entered the transfer portal and transferred to the University of Louisville.
