Shavon Revel enjoyed an outstanding prep career as a two-way player at two different high schools in the Winston-Salem area. He spent the first three years at Reynolds High School before transferring to Reagan High School prior to his senior season. He collected 38 tackles, 3 tackles for a loss and four interceptions of defense and hauled in 33 receptions for 439 yards and five touchdowns on offense during his senior year.
Revel committed to Louisburg College for the 2020-2021 season. He spent two seasons in all at Louisburg but did not compete in 2020 because of COVID.
After the 2021 season Revel transferred to East Carolina. He played in nine games in his first season with the Pirates and tallied eight tackles. In 2022, Revel saw a big increase in playing time and he took advantage. He started all 12 games and totaled 54 tackles, one interception and 13 passes defended, and was named Second-Team All-American Athletic Conference.
In 2024, Revel had two interceptions in three games, but suffered a torn ACL in practice heading into week four which ended his season.
