Trevor Connelly was born in Tustin, California and played hockey for multiple youth travel all-star teams as a youngster. In 2020-2021 he played for the Anaheim Jr. Ice Dogs 14U AAA team and tallied 20 goals and 24 assists in 20 games.
After playing for the Long Island Gulls 16U AAA team in 2021-2022, Connelly was selected by the Tri-City Storm of the USHL. In his first season in the USHL, Connelly recorded 24 goals and 23 assists in 57 games.
This past season Connelly played in the USHL and also 3 separate USA teams. He played for the USA U18 team in the Hlinka Gretzky Cup and had 5 goals and 5 assists in 5 games. He Played for the USA U19 team in the WJAC-19 tournament and tallied 6 goals and 5 assists in 6 games and also played for the USA U18 squad in the WJC-18 tournament, scoring 4 goals and 5 assists in 7 games. After all that, Connelly still performed strong for the Tri-City Storm in the USHL, playing in 52 games, and recording 31 goals and 47 assists.
Trevor Connelly is set to play the 2024-2025 season at Tri-City and then is committed to Providence College in 2025-2026.
