Anton Silayev was born in Sarov, Russia and played in the MHL over in Russia and in 2022-2023, he had 2 goals and 6 assists in 41 games. Silayev was signed to play professionally in the KHL this past season. He was able to handle his own in Russia's top league and did not look out of place against the bigger more physical players. In 61 games, he had 3 goals and 8 assists. One scout said he hasn't seen a 17-year old defensemen play so well in the KHL in all his time he has scouted for the draft.
