Easton Gibbs played his high school football at Temecula Valley High School where he was a Swiss army knife for them. He played linebacker, safety, and QB, and his best high school season was his junior year when he made 89 tackles, 1.0 tackle for loss, and two interceptions. He was graded as a two-star recruit by Rivals.com and a three-star recruit by 247Sports. He was not very highly recruited and chose to continue his football career at Wyoming over Utah State and U.C. Davis.
Gibbs appeared in just one game recording no stats in his freshman year in 2019 and in 2020, he played in all 6 games, including one start. He was third on the team in tackles with 42, including 21 solo. In his last two games of the season, he recorded double-digit tackles in both games. This helped him earn a starting role for the 2021 season, and he finished second on the team in tackles and TFL in that season with 90 and 7 respectively.
Gibbs’ best season so far came last season in 2022 where he blew his previous season out of the water with 121 tackles including 9 TFL and 3 sacks. He earned national attention and inserted himself into draft conversation, cementing himself as one of the top linebackers in the country. This season he has played 13 games and collected 109 tackles, 4 TFL, 2 sacks and 1 interception.
