Jamree Kromah played his high school football at Charles Herbert Flowers High School where he recorded 27 sacks, three forced fumbles and an interception as a senior and was named First Team All-Met by the Washington Post. Over his high school career, Kromah earned 3-star recruit ratings from ESPN and 247Sports and a 2-star rating from Rivals.com. He was not recruited by many power 5 schools and chose Rutgers over offers from UConn, Army, Bowling Green and others.
Kromah spent his first three years at Rutgers as a depth player on the defensive line for the Scarlet Knights. His numbers from these seasons don’t jump out due to his limited playing time. Over these three seasons, Kromah played in 23 games, recording 17 total tackles, 2.5 TFL, and 0.5 sacks in his time at Rutgers.
After the 2021 season, Kromah transferred to James Madison University with hopes of gaining more playing time and did. He played in 10 games in his first season with the Dukes including three starts, making 21 tackles, 5.5 TFL, and 3.5 sacks. This was enough to earn him a starting role this season with JMU. He has had a breakout campaign and has solidified himself as an NFL draft contender with his performance this season as he has tallied 52 tackles, 20.5 TFL, and 11 sacks. This impressive production has allowed Kromah to climb draft boards in his last season of college eligibility.
