Bradyn Swinson attended Chapel Hill High School in Georgia and was ranked the No. 18 strong-side defensive end in the country. During his senior season he was named the Region 5-AAAA Co-Defensive Player of the Year after collecting 79 tackles with 24 quarterback hurries. Swinson was a consensus three-star prospect and committed to the University of Oregon.
As a true freshman, Swinson appeared in all seven games and tallied three tackles and a pass breakup. He was given a redshirt due to the lack of playing time and COVID-19. He got on the field a lot more during his redshirt freshman season for Oregon, playing 11 of 14 games and finishing with 24 tackles, four tackles for a loss, three sacks, and a forced fumble.
In 2022, Swinson's playing time took a hit and his numbers suffered because of it. He played sparingly in 12 games and collected eight tackles and 1.5 tackles for a loss. After the 2022 season, Swinson entered the transfer portal and elected to play football at LSU.
Swinson appeared in 12 games with one start in his first season with the Tigers. He finished the season with 35 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss, two sacks, five pass breakups and a team-high nine quarterback hurries.
